Kusadasi, (Ephesus), Turkey, is one of the major cruise ship ports in Turkey.  Kusadasi is a resort town on the Aegean Coast known for its shopping, beaches, diving, and entertainment activities.  Kusadasi is also known as “Bird Island” due to Pigeon Island’s shape at the town’s south end.  Kusadasi Bay is a volcanic one, meaning the seabed is covered in cracks and fissures emitting hot water. Divers are generally quite surprised at how hot the water is when they dive into one of these hot water outpourings for the first time.
